7/16/2010 – Jeri Anderson here from KLAW 101. Join me next week as we cruise 7 days on the Carnival Conquest. We will have daily posts and pictures, and a special announcement about a great rate just for you! Can’t wait!

7/19/2010 – Hey, It’s KLAW’s Jeri Anderson from the Carnival Conquest! What a great first day! First of all, I have to thank Adventure Travel and Heidi for the lovely gifts that were waiting for us in the stateroom. Seriously, cookies? Do you even know me at all?! Of course you do! You will be surprised to know that they are not all gone! We met Monica and April from Lawton last night at dinner. Monica won one of our showcases last year and used her Central Mall shopping spree to pay for her trip. We also met four other ladies from Lawton at our table and four others from across the border…not Mexico…TEXAS! The husband thinks its pretty cool being at a table with all women. Just wait, that should change before the end of the week! After dinner last night, we got settled in. After that, we watched the movie “The Blind Side” from a huge screen under the stars! Take a guess where I headed first thing this morning?…If you guessed the pool to layout, you would be correct! Later, Cyndie and I had brunch. (that’s what we are calling it since we didn’t eat breakfast til noon) This afternoon we went to some of the shops on board before we had to get ready for our first “dressy” night! Yes, I did bring my black dress! Now, I mentioned a special rate…you can take this EXACT same cruise on October 24, 2010 for just $459 per person for an interior cabin. Adventure Travel has all of the details! 580-250-4000. As soon as I get with the internet cafe manager, I will get some pictures up! Having a great time…wish you were here…some of you more than others! TTYL! Jeri

7/20/2010 – Finally! We have been trying to get this update in all day! The internet cafe manager, Thomas, said they thought it was interference from Cuba! Whatever! It’s a rainy day at Sea today. Cyndie said she really prefers to lay out when it drizzles. I need to work on that girl! Last night was our first dress up night! We looked so good, but of course I couldn’t walk ALL the way from our stateroom in my “girl” shoes! You guessed it! I carried them. I didn’t put them on until safely in the elevator as it landed right outside of our restaurant! Remember, what you see on the cruise…stays on the cruise. I told Monica and April that too. No incriminating pictures of Jeri Anderson! Because it was our first dress up night, the entire multinational wait staff serenaded us with an Italian song, “It’s Amore”. They did really well, but I had to laugh. While they were singing, and earlier when they sang Happy Birthday to someone in the restaurant, all I could think about was that scene from A Christmas Story, where they were singing “Fra, ra, ra, ra, ra, ra, ra, ra, ra”! Funny stuff. Did you know that they have a Vegas Style show on board? Voila Paris. There was lots of singing and dancing, then we sat down and the show began! JK. We are having a great time and can’t wait for Jamaica tomorrow. We are climbing Dunns River Falls and going to a private beach for lunch. All fingers crossed for some sun please! Also, don’t forget the SPECIAL price for this exact same cruise on October 24, 2010. Interior cabin at $459, Oceanview at $517, and a Balcony at $ 697! Can I tell you that this rate is just about half of what we paid! Seriously, it’s a great deal! Call Adventure Travel today at 250-4000. Tonight we have Motown Legends and a Michael Jackson tribute!

7/21/2010 – Well, I learned two things during our first adventure off of the ship. #1, I am not 25 anymore. I don’t fit it my swimsuit the way I used to. (I’m not sure it ever really fit good) #2, I am not 25 anymore! We had a great time in Jamaica with a trip to Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios. Also, we stopped at Dolphin Cove for the “Royal Beach Experience.”  The falls were so pretty…until we got into them! I guess I thought we would take a nice scenic climb along paths to the top…WRONG! Through the raging waters Cyndie and I went…half way. We realized pretty quickly that this was not something that we should be doing. Thanks to Dave our tour guide who literally pulled me up two of the biggest rocks I have ever seen! While we waited in the shade, the rain began. “No problem mon, (we learned some Jamaican too) it should stop raining soon.” Not hardly, but by the time we reached Dolphin Cove and had our lunch and complimentary drinks, the rain did stop. We had about 45 minutes of almost sun at our Beach Experience! Don’t ask about Motown last night. We fell asleep and woke up at Midnight. Soon after, we changed clothes and went to bed! Must be the sea air! We’re Going to try pictures again today. Thanks to Grace at Adventure Travel who is producing the updates. Tomorrow is Grand Cayman Island and parasailing! EEK! I am scared! Missing my babies, and even you guys at work, but I am struggling through it. Don’t forget you can cruise this exact same cruise for less than half of what I paid by calling Adventure Travel today! 580-250-4000 Dates: October 24, 2010, Interior cabin $459, Oceanview $517 and Balcony $697. Call today!

7/22/2010 – I am going to give up on pics. I tried to load some last night and it just locked up the system. The file size is too big for what the ship can accomodate, I guess. It took forever, then it finally timed out. I will load all of them Sunday night when I get back. Gosh, I am having a good time! Here are the two things that I learned in Grand Cayman…#1 6-8 minutes seems sooooooooo much longer when you are hovering 400 feet above the ocean! Yes, we did go parasailing today! It was so much more fun than I thought it would be. I had some kids on the boat take lots of pictures and video with our flip camera. I can’t wait to share those with you! After everyone on our boat had a turn at flying, they dropped us off at 7 mile beach where I learned the second thing. #2, I absolutely cannot walk in the beautiful sands of Grand Cayman! We tried to walk along the shore, but the water kept taking the sand from under my feet. We tried to go furthur up the beach, but my feet just kept sinking! I guess I was only meant to lay on the sand, not walk on it! What a beautiful place! This may be a choice for a future all-inclusive vacation. Also, we finally had a full day of Sun! (Sorry Cyndie!) I will be coming home with a really nice tan. My bud, not so much! We are getting ready to set sail from Grand Cayman. We will be in Cozumel’s port tomorrow morning. Cyndie said she really liked my choice of shore excursions. We’re going Shopping! I think both of us can handle that one! Don’t forget to call Adventure Travel for your very special rate on this exact same itinerary! It departs October 24, 2010. An interior cabin only costs $459, oceanview $517, and balcony $697. Call today at 580-250-4000! You will be so pleased by all of the options your cruise gives you. Tell Hossein that Jeri Anderson sent you!

7/23/2010 – Friday, already! This is the day that Cyndie has been waiting for…shopping! I was the first one to wake up this morning, so I spent a couple of hours on the deck before we came into port in Cozumel, Mexico! It was amazing how few people took advantage of the deck chairs at 7:30am! This was the first time I have ever docked in Cozumel at the ‘New’ port. The last time I cruised, we came in further down the coast. I have to say the shopping in port was excellent! I found everything that I needed, including cute little matching outfits…not for Cyndie and me…for our Grandbabies! We had lunch at “Three Amigoes”. Okay, I have to admit, I have had a cheesburger in paradise…at every port. I think my bud is getting a little tired of me ordering cheeseburgers and fries, but now the vote has been taken. I think Cozumel had the best burger! Our dining room experience every evening has been so good. Monica and April, Cyndie and I, and sometimes two other ladies that were a part of our group joined us. And for the last two nights we have been treated to some fine dancing by our wait staff…”Showtime”! Lots of fun. And, in case you are worried about the dress code on board…let me just tell you that we haven’t seen anyone turned away at the door. We have seen all kinds of clothes come into the dining room…just short of bathing suits! So don’t worry…just sail away! You can enjoy all of the great destinations while sailing on one of the finest ships around…The Carnival Conquest for lots less than what I paid! Call Adventure Travel right away…they need to know that you want to take advantage of these special low rates…date, October 24, 2010. Interior cabin $459, Oceanview $517, and Balcony, just under $700 per person! They need to make your reservations soon, so give them a call today at 580-250-4000!

7/26/2010 – Jeri Anderson has arrived home! What an excellent vacation! I didn’t get to post on Saturday, our last fun day at sea, but you’ll NEVER guess what we did…Ok, maybe you could guess. First we slept in, then breakfast buffet (gotta love buffets!), then I spent about an hour and a half on the deck soaking up the last bit of vacation sun. Cyndie soaked up shade! We shopped some in the fun shops onboard, then we went back up on deck to sit and look at all the beautiful water. It makes you remember just how small we actually are when you see the vast expanse of water as far as the eye can see. I told Cyndie I was gonna say that, but neither of us can see very far without our glasses! Still, some time to reflect on a fantastic trip! I hope that you will take advantage of the FANTASTIC rates for the exact same cruise in October. $459 for an interior cabin, $517 Oceanview, and just $697 for a Balcony room! Seriously, Unbelievable rates, please give Adventure Travel a call today! I I will be posting some pictures tonight, and some more tomorrow! Be sure to check back and see some fun pictures!
